"The CDC Cased Caddis Jig is a twist on the popular cased caddis that imitates Brachycentrus caddis larvae, which are easily identified by their brown, rectangular, tapered cases.
I typically fish this pattern on larger tailwaters with heavier nymphing rigs but it fishes well on freestones too.
Don’t sleep on this pattern as a dropper in a dry-dropper application as I’ve found it to be very successful in high elevation creeks searching for native Brook trout.
The CDC Cased Jig is about as buggy as it gets. I might be a sucker for anything tied with CDC, but so are the fish!"
